Week 4

Hey!!! thanks for your letters guys! i love you so much!!!
I'm doing great!the MTC is pretty great! The food has gotten disgusting over the past few weeks! I am having the time of my life! the language is pretty tough but its getting better and will continue to get better! the language has crazy confusing with the structure of the sentences! saying anything can be said 5 or more different ways depending on how you want to and what your focusing on!
I can't believe that Hannah has her permit!!!! scary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love you guys.
I'm sorry gma and gpa Nielson! i love you and thanks for the cookies!
the language has some spanish is it because it was like asian before but it had been conquered by spain for awhile so it has spanish influence in the language like the days of the week and numbers over ten sometimes. its insane.
it was different having a samoan companion at first because his background and culture were so different but we've got it pretty well figured out now i think!
and i haven't touched the lucky charms/marshmallow mateys!!! i don't wanna lose hair any faster;)
thank you for fasting for me for those that did!
good for marcus tell him i say congrats!
I love you guys!

Week 2

So this week has gone by way fast!!! Everything has been almost exactly the same! I'm learning the language and working on the lessons and things like all day everyday accept for at gym time lunch dinner or devotionals!!! so crazy. before i thought that being a missionary would be like reading the scriptures and such and not be very fun but after being here I've found that being out in the field is gonna be so cool. and we had this amazing lesson thing where we were doing a lesson in front of a practice teachers and is was an amazing lesson!!! I can't wait to get out there i heard a tor about a sister who only knew like two phrases for missionary work in her new language and she went out and got a baptism with those two phrases:) so after hearing that I've just become a lot less worried because i feel like whatever happens if i do my best god will get me where i need to be!!! Can't wait to go! sill got 3 weeks but I'm ready!!! Love and miss seeing you all!!!!Love,

Week 1

Alright to answer everybody's questions
Dad-Things are amazing! I've never felt the spirit so storngly and i testify that god answers prayers! MTC is awesome! I started learning the language minutes after you dropped off. The language is weird! Its spoken grammar wise way different. to say I want ice cream its like want ice cream I! and its just weird and anything you say can be said in two different ways! My companion is good and getting better day to day. He's from simoa! I have 1 teacher. his name is brother holley and he's awesome. i have been learning the disscussions kinda... Go DUCKS!!! Tell sister baird thank you!
Mom- Yes i know my lds mail sign in. tell jacob he needs the challenge it makes the MTC less hard. and have him start memorizing the missoinary purpose page 1 in preach my gospel. idk if you have gotten both my letters? No letters or email from gpa and gma phair. weather is not super warm. its utah still! Sunday we had sacrament and such as a zone and classes as a district!
Leah-I'm great? first week down! language is alright i'm always learning! teaching is a bit frustrating with not being able to say all i could in english! food is ok! seen a few people i know. first P day today! I go to the temple today as well. I know a guy here thats gonna play football for BYU as a wide reciever! his name is Jacob Arslanian and he's a cool guy!Jayden will have fun make him go to that singing thing:)
Jacob-Finally you break a grand! don't be tired of school! its better then being an adult i think! I'm enjoying the MTC but you need to enjoy fanily and freedom while you have it! don't grow up-p to fast bud!
Rayah-How did the game go?Don't be mean to jacob when he gives advice he's only trying to help. good for you!
Rylee- I don't get home sick little sister!:) good job on your game! Lucky getting steak:)
Jensen-I have seen karli! good job on your game! I'm learning the language studying eating then sleeping thats my day!
Rorie-I have started training! Lucky:)
Mom- weekind was good so tiring tho! I'm eating good probably a bit to much! something is weird with the food and its sticks to you!P day is today if karli didn't get you the message! I've seen Ellie miller lots like everyday pretty much and karli and lance buck and brandon johnson and logan mott but thats it. personal and companion study have been difficult to get into the schedule with trying to figure lessons out and such!but we're working on it. I'm glad you packed that medicine stuff cuz the other day i got a head ache and had a super spiritual experience so i cried and then i got a fever and now the fevers gone and i feel better but yeah. Just tired but i'll settle that with a nap!
Dad- I have another letter coming. didn't think it would take that long to come! I've learned the basics of the language and speak it with my district alot but i can't really like have a full on conversation that would be at a normal rate and i did talk to the liken the scriptures girl for a bit but she took the whole thing kinda awkwardly so i haven't attempted since really. the food is alright but super dense! and i haven't touched the lucky charms!!!:)
Mom-Didn't forget anything just bought a few pens and a hymn book. found the pens later... Just know that i've cried because i love you guys so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they only have creamery ice cream on wednesdays and its not anything super amazing...Yes i get up on time in the mornign get ready and then head straight to a classroom till 8:15 then breakfast then back to the classroom until 1:10 then back to the same classroom then stay for an hour or 2 then gym or devotional til 9 then back to the residence home get ready for bed then bed then up again! love you guys so much!!!!!!! oh and we had dallin h oaks for devotional tuesday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its Time!

So on October 9th we get up, (I am sure Mom was up most of the night) and get ready and load up.  It is exciting and sad and crazy!  We get everything in the car and head to Denny's.  This is a full circle moment because when we moved to Tooele, we went to breakfast at that same Denny's in the first week.
We joke around at breakfast and goof off.  When it is time to go Mom can't remember where she put my wallet with my Driver's license.  She is of course, freaking out!  We go home, open all of my suitcases, look all over my room, and then she realizes she stuck it in the inside pocket of the suit I am wearing.  I had it the whole time.
We drive towards Provo.  I am very excited! I bug my brothers on the way and my parents are ready to kill me for the torment!
We go see Uncle Jaime and Aunt Karen in Provo before we go to the MTC!

We then go to the Provo Temple to hang out until it is time to go to the MTC.  We take a ton of pictures and goof off.  I am ready to go!

Then it is time! We pull into the MTC and it is a madhouse! There are cars and people everywhere! We end up almos to the back of the building. You get out and an Elder comes and helps you get your suitcases and then tells you to take a minute to say goodbye! Lots of tears....from everyone but me!

Set Apart

At 8:30 on October 8, 2013  we go to the church building and the Stake President, Charles Lawrence, sets me apart as a full time missionary.  Bishop Campbell, Kip Bowser, Matt, Kim, Hannah and Sydney Robinson, my family are all there.  He tells me I will witness miracles.  I will be protected if I follow the rules and am obedient.  Do everything my leaders say!  Have fun!

Complete first aid kit
bug repellent

On the 20th of September, I go through the Bountiful Temple to recieve my endowments.  It was awesome!!
My Gma Nielson, Gma and Gpa Phair, Aunt Michelle, Brother Bowser, Bishop and Julie Campbell, Matt and Kim Robinson and of course my parents were there.
That night we do Jacob's Eagle court of Honor, Saturday the 21st at 9 is Rorie's baptism, then the

Lots of friends from school and work were at my farewell Sunday along with the Farmers and Aunt Leah.
